Viral Nepal flood aftermath video actually shows children in Vietnam
A video circulated on social media has been claimed to show two children affected by the recent floods in Nepal. In the video, a child wearing a blue T-shirt is carrying another younger, crying child on his back. However, an investigation by Dismislab has found that the video has no connection to the floods in Nepal. It is a scene from a village in Ha Giang, a mountainous province in northern Vietnam.
A Facebook page named “Campus Times”, posted the video with the caption, “Unbelievable scene caught on camera!” Following this, hashtags of Nepal flood and Nepal disaster were used to imply that the scene is from Nepal.

The report states that the circulated video was created by digital content creator Thien Duyen. The content creator himself confirmed to The Statesman that the video was filmed in Ha Giang, Vietnam.
