A fake photocard circulating on social media claims Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami party is the main target of rumors and that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is spreading most of them.

The photocard, featuring the logos of both Jamaat and BNP, was first shared on the ‘Amar Desh BD’ Facebook page on February 12, the polling day in Bangladesh. The text on the photocard reads, “Jamaat target of most rumors; BNP tops in spreading them.”

The image includes the Jamuna TV watermark, logo, and links to the channel’s website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel. It has garnered over 400 reactions and 36 shares so far. Several personal accounts (1, 2, 3) also shared the content.

However, no such post or statement was found after a review of Jamuna TV’s official Facebook page and website. Jamuna TV’s New Media Editor, Rubel Mahmood, confirmed to Dismislab that the channel did not publish this photocard.

This photocard is therefore fake.
