Staged video circulating with claim of Muslim youth being harassed in India
A video has recently circulated on Facebook claiming that a female official of the “Modi administration” is harassing a Muslim youth. However, Dismislab’s fact-check has found that it is a staged scene, not a real incident.
A 13-second video was recently posted from a Facebook page named World News Daily, which identifies itself as a news media outlet. In the video, a female police officer is seen slapping a young man wearing a skull cap. The post read, “Muslim youth harassed by female official of the Modi administration.”

So far, the post has been shared approximately 250 times. The video has been viewed more than 17,000 times. In the comments, one person wrote, “It would have been better if she had been slapped back hard.” Another wrote, “The woman’s behaviour is like a dog’s.”
To verify its authenticity, Dismislab conducted several key-frame reverse searches and found a video on a YouTube channel named “Amit Dixit Social Message.” The translated title of this 5-minute-8-second video reads, “Teacher beaten in front of police 😱😱 Watch.” The person, clothing, location and incident in this video, published on September 21, 2025, match those of the recently circulated video.

Analyzing the YouTube channel “Amit Dixit Social Message,” Dismislab found that the channel publishes videos about various incidents of this kind. The same content was also seen being circulated from Facebook and Instagram accounts under this name. These staged videos are circulated from the Facebook, YouTube and Instagram accounts as social awareness content. The person shown as the teacher in the video “Teacher beaten in front of police” is shown as a police officer in another video.

In other words, the video circulated on Facebook with the claim that a female official of the Modi administration is harassing a Muslim youth is not a scene from a real incident.
