Scene claiming occupation of India's Arunachal shows Thailand-Cambodia border
A video has spread on Facebook with the claim that China has occupied a seven-kilometer area of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. However, Dismislab’s fact-check has revealed that the scene is not from India. The video is a scene of border tension between the Royal Thai Army and Cambodian soldiers in the Chong Bok border area of Thailand.

In the lower part of the video, members of the military forces of the two countries are seen facing each other and installing barbed wire fences.
To verify the authenticity, Dismislab conducted a reverse image search using various keyframes of the video which led to a video published on the social media platform Instagram on June 4. The scenes in the video spread recently match that video. In the post, the scene was mentioned as border tension between Thailand and Cambodia. It was stated that the incident was on the Chong Bok border.
Upon further investigation, a report by the Thailand-based newspaper The Nation was found. The report, published on June 3, states that on June 2, 2026, armed Cambodian soldiers entered the unresolved area of the border and tried to prevent Thai soldiers from constructing a barbed wire fence. Later, following the designated procedure, Thai soldiers carefully took the situation under control and sat down for discussions to explain the matter. The situation calmed down when the Cambodian soldiers agreed to move away from the area around 11:30am. The scenes in the report also match the scenes of the spread video.
